Zimbabwe Overview |
|
With tourism declining by about 80% from the mid 1990’s to 2001 about 30 000 jobs have been lost since 1999. The economy is anything but stable at the moment and the currency is in desperate need of devaluation, this would however result in higher food prices and the civil unrest would threaten the current government’s power. Visiting Zimbabwe, you would probably be entering the country either
in Harare, Masvingo, Bulawayo or Mutare. Attractions include the Victoria
Falls as mentioned before, but others worth a visit is Nyanga, Mana Pools
National Park, Gweru, Kariba and the Eastern Highlands where you will
find the Great Zimbabwe ruins. |
