Tanzania Overview |
|
Tanzania’s economy is mainly agriculture, which employs about 80% of the workforce and up to 50% of the GDP. Crops include coffee, tea, cotton, cashews, sisal and cloves. The main attractions of Tanzania are in the northern parks and safari circuits. These attractions include the Ngorongoro Crater, the well known Serengeti, Lake Manyara, Tarangire and Arusha National Park. Island getaways include Zanzibar Island which is East Africa’s famous Swahili city-state with mosques, winding alley ways and coral-sand beaches. Activities include hiking, safaris, diving, snorkeling and cultural experiences. There is more than enough to see and do here and is definitely not only a safari destination. |
