Itinerary departing Windhoek
Day 1 - Saturday
Depart Windhoek, drive via Rehoboth and into the Kalahari Desert. Scenic
sunset drive (in open vehicles).
Overnight in the Kalahari Desert. [D]
Day 2 - Sunday
Drive through Kalahari, see Kokerboom (Quiver tree) forest near Keetmanshoop.
Continue via Naute Dam, view the Fish River Canyon's spectacular northern
fringes.
Overnight near Fish River Canyon.

Day 3 - Monday
Travel to Aus. Possibility to see desert adapted horses on entering Namib Desert.
Arrive in Luderitz around midday. Afternoon scenic drive around southern
peninsula.

Day 4 - Tuesday
Visit Kolmanskop, a deserted diamond town and museum. Visit Duwisib Castle
in the afternoon. Continue to Maltahohe region for overnight.[BD]
Day 5 - Wednesday
Early start to visit Sossusvlei. Undertake 4x4 scenic drive into the heart
of the Namib Desert. Visit Sesriem Canyon and solitaire en route past Naukluft
Mountains.
Overnight near Namib Naukluft Park. [BD]
Day 6 - Thursday
Drive through Kuiseb Canyon towards coast. Enjoy a packed lunch. See the 'Welwitschia
Mirabilis' plants said to grow older than a 1000 years and visit Moon Landscape.
Arrive in Swakopmund late afternoon. [BD+LP]
Day 7 - Friday
Day at leisure in Swakopmund. Book an optional day tour.
Overnight in Swakopmund.

Day 9 - Sunday
Early departure towards Henties Bay. Visit Twyfelfontein and the Organ Pipes
en-route to Damaraland. Packed lunch. Arrive at remote lodge in the afternoon.
Overnight in Damaraland.

Day 10 - Monday
Morning and afternoon outing with specialist guides. Introduction to rich flora
and fauna of this semi-desert. Search for elusive Desert Rhino and Desert
Elephant. Optional visit to the nomadic Himba tribe (subject to availability
and for won account. Min 2 pax, book in advance). Return to lodge late afternoon.
Overnight in Damaraland.[BD+LP]
Day 11 - Tuesday
Depart Damaraland, one of the last real wilderness areas in Africa, continue
via Kamanjab to Outjo, and private game farm. Late afternoon game drive.
Overnight near Otjiwarongo at private game lodge.

Continue via Outjo to Etosha National Park. Game drive en route. Overnight
at rest camp in the Park or private accommodation nearby.[BD]
Day 13 - Thursday
Full day in the park, exploring waterholes along this enormous saltpan. Overnight
at rest camp in the Park or private accommodation nearby.[BD]
Day 14 - Friday
Full day in park. Depart late afternoon. Overnight at private lodge on eastern
border of Etosha.[BD]
Day 15 - Saturday
Visit Lake Otjikoto and mine museum in Tsumeb. Continue via Otjiwarongo and
Okahandja. Visit Herero graves and local handicraft market. Arrive in Windhoek,
later afternoon, where tour ends.[B]
